Tom Arthur
Board President
Board Member since 1991
Tom was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kansas in Economics and has worked for Steel & Pipe Supply Company for 42 years, including working as the Human Resource Manager from 1987 to the present. Tom has been married for 40 years to Suzanne, and they have three children and six grandchildren.
Dan Strom

Dan Strom has lived and worked in Manhattan for 35+ years. He has been active in local and state-wide boards and councils. He has served as an Elder in his church and spent several years as an elected member of his local school board. In addition, he was appointed by the governor of Kansas to serve 8 years on the State of Kansas Information Technology Executive Council which provides oversight to all state I.T. and cybersecurity programs. Dan’s work focuses on strategic application of technology, compliance, governance and cybersecurity for Kansas Farm Bureau. He and his wife, Judy, have two adult sons.
Brian Smith

Brian is a native of western Nebraska who moved to Manhattan in 1988 with his wife Kara. Brian served the local community in healthcare for 25 years prior to switching his career to Westview Community Church where he serves as lead pastor. Kara works for Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. They have two grown boys and the joy of a grandson.
Michael Welsh

Michael has been the Executive Director of Cornerstone Family Counseling since 2009 after serving as the Associate Director from 2007 - 2009. Michael manages the daily operations and financials for Cornerstone. Michael grew up in a military family and lived internationally and in several states, mostly in Arizona. Michael has lived in Kansas with his wife of 26 years and their children since 2002. Michael earned his bachelor's in psychology from California Baptist University, and his master's and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California.
